All By Myself - Old Testament Talks for Kids
by Christena Nelson and Brenda Braun
Tired of long-winded Primary talks - with a parent whispering every word into their child's ear? Do you find it easier to give the Family Night lesson yourself, rather than helping your child prepare it?
Help is here!
The aim of this book is to encourage children's independence in developing the skills for these two very important Latter-day Saint assignments.
Involve your child by reading through the book with them, pointing to the words/pictures. Then let them choose the Old Testament story they would like to give as a talk/lesson. Remove that page from the book. (Or make a copy.) Allow your child to color the big illustration on the back. After several readings of the story with a parent or older sibling, (again pointing to the words/pictures) your child should be able to deliver the scriptural message on their own.
You may also make copies of these stories for your own classroom use.
