Book Five in the Book of Mormon Commentary Series.
There are four Gospels or Testimonies (JST) of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ contained in the New Testament. These four accounts were written by special witnesses chosen by the Savior in Jerusalem. These accounts briefly tell of his mortal life and three-year ministry in the Palestine area.
Divine Ministry is an easy-to-understand commentary on the Book of Mormon and Jesus' Ministry to the Nephites.
The author labels this as "The First Gospel" because in the Savior's immortal state, his teachings take precedence to the biblical accounts, which have undergone various translations and transcriptions.
The account of this record thus called the Divine Ministry because it is the account of his coming, teaching and ministering as an immortal, divine being.
