Teaching the Word: Religious Education at Brigham Young University
By Richard O. Cowan
Religious instruction has been central to Brigham Young University's unique mission since the beginning.
Religious Education faculty and staff members identify with those whose commission it was in ancient times "to teach the word of God among all the people" (Helaman 5:14; see also Alma 23:4) Therefore it has been there desire with two of Lehi's sons, to "teach the word of God with all diligence" (Jacob 1:19). This book tells the story of BYU's efforts to fulfill the Savior's commission.
This beautiful hardback limited-edition book was published to be used as a gift to CES educators and visitors at the Religious Studies Center at BYU. It has full color artwork throughout and anyone who has attended BYU will be able to identify favorite past and present faculty members.
